Chapter Three of the Gospel According to Mark

Commissioning

Chapter 2
Picture
Chapter 4
Mark 3:7-12

“The Son of God”

The Sonship of Christ is a doctrine central to orthodox Christianity. To deny his Sonship is to deny the deity of Christ. Believers, too, are sons of God, though not in the same way as Christ. This sermon discusses Jesus’ Sonship and our adoption into the household of faith. (October 6, 2019)
Mark 3:13-19

“The Twelve”

The Four Marks of the Church — one, holy, catholic, and apostolic – define the Bride of Christ in this world. This sermon looks at the last mark and what it means to be an apostolic church today. (November 3, 2019)
Mark 3:20-27

“A House Divided”

In this sermon I discuss the necessity of finding our identity in Christ and not in the agendas or divisions that plague mankind. (November 10, 2019)
Mark 3:28-35

“Blasphemy and
Brotherhood”

Jesus never shied away from the hard truth, especially when talk with his adversaries and even when talking to his kin. In this sermon, Jesus chides both the Pharisees and his family for their unbelief. (November 17, 2019)
