Some time ago I was invited to preach at Amherst Presbyterian Church, in Amherst, VA. Recently, I had the distinction of being invited back while her pastor is on leave. This is the first of a number of sermons preached there. This message was from 1 Corinthians 1:22-24 and in it I examine what Paul meant by the cross of Christ as a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks and what that means for us today.

About the SeriesAfter seven years of ministering to one congregation, I left that church to pursue full-time teaching. Now I minister to middle and high school students and fill the occasional pulpit. This playlist will compile those sermons when I'm able to record them. SDG Categories
